J Balvin has had a notable and ongoing collaboration with the Jordan Brand. He is known for working on special editions of Air Jordan sneakers that often feature unique designs and colour schemes inspired by his personal style and cultural influences. Balvin's collaborations with Jordan Brand have gained attention not only for their distinct aesthetics but also for the stories and themes behind each release. Now back for more, the highly anticipated follow up to the Medellin Sunset release from 2023, J Balvin shares more from his roots in the AJ3 ‘Rio’

Jordan Brand continues the long line of high-profile collaborations, this time joining forces once again with Colombian superstar J. Balvin. After the success of his highly-anticipated Air Jordan 3 Medellín Sunset in September 2023, sneakerheads have eagerly awaited his next project which was leaked last year akin to the previous release. Many outlets has confirmed that Balvin will unveil a new iteration of the Jordan 3, slated for release tomorrow on Nike SNKRS
The upcoming J. Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Retro Rio features a striking colour scheme of black, solar flare, total crimson, and what Nike call abyss. This new design marks a slight departure from the vibrant Medellín Sunset, opting instead for a sleek blacked out look. The shoe is constructed with all-black leather on the toe, midfoot, and collar, providing a polished base. Dark grey and black elephant print complete the heel and mudguard, adding texture and depth to the design.

One of the standout features of this release is the gradient pattern on the heel tab and the back portion of the midsole, a nod to Balvin's signature style seen in his previous AJ3 collaboration.

We won't have to wait long to get their hands on these kicks as the J. Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Retro Rio is set to drop on May 22, 2024. Expect pairs to hit Story in the next coming weeks.
